Summary: Tendo’s wish is a story of a student coming from a less privileged family and just like any other child, he wishes to have some good things for himself. Although his family cannot afford to provide the nice things for him, that does not stop him from showing kindness to other people.
Favorite part of the book: My favorite part of the book is when Tendo decides to extend kindness to an old lady and because of this simple act, kindness is passed on through the village with surprising results at the end of the day for Tendo.
Recommendation: Reading is one way that children learn and discover life lessons about kindness. If you are a parent trying to teach your child to be kind to others, what better way to do it than to give them Tendo’s Wish book to read and learn about how to put kindness in action! Your child will learn to read, and be kind at the same time and you will have hit two birds with one stone!
